3 | Phoebe | Ok, so this is pretty much what's happened so far. Ross was in love with Rachel since, you know, forever, but every time he tried to tell her, something kind of got in the way, like cats, and Italian guys. Finally Chandler was like "forget about her" but when Ross was in China on his dig, Chandler let it slip that Ross was in love with Rachel. She was like, "Oh my god." So she went to the airport to meet him when he came back, but what she didn't know was, that Ross was getting off the plane with another woman. Uh-Oh! So, that's pretty much everything you need to know. But, enough about us. So, how've you been? |
---|
Nitpick: In Episode E201/L3: , line(s) 201, Phoebe shouldn't know about Julie because Ross hasn't returned from the airport yet! Of course, it's possible that Lisa Kudrow (not Phoebe) is doing the recap, but she seems to be in character. Contrast this to Episode E401/L2-13: , line(s) 401, where Joey does the recap and admits he doesn't know what's happened since last season. |
Episode 401, Lines 2-13 |
2 | Joey | (lying on a beach towel, recapping what happened in the last episode) Okay, so we went to the beach, because Phoebe found out about this lady who knew her mom and dad, and I dont really know what happened with that. |
3 | [SCENE] | cut to Phoebe Sr.s house, from the last episode |
4 | Phoebe Sr. | (to Phoebe) Im your mother. |
5 | Phoebe | Ehh? |
6 | [SCENE] | cut to Monica opening the door of the beach house, with Chandler trying to pick her up for a date. |
7 | Joey | (voice-over) Oh, and then Monica joked that she wouldnt go out with a guy like Chandler... |
8 | Chandler | (to Monica) (in a funny voice) Hi there. (Monica turns her head away in disgust) |
9 | Joey | (voice-over) ...and he couldnt let it go, and... I dont really know what happened with that either. |
10 | [SCENE] | cut to a montage of scenes involving Bonnie, Ross, and Rachel from the last episode. |
11 | Joey | (voice-over) Oh-oh! And then Rosss new girlfriend, Bonnie, shows up and Rachel convinced her to save her head. And then Ross and Rachel kiss, and now Ross has to choose between Rachel and the bald girl and I dont know what happened there either... |
12 | [SCENE] | cut back to Joey on the beach towel |
13 | Joey | Y'know what, hold on, let me go get Chandler. (gets up and leaves.) |
---|
|
83 | Monica | Pheebes, you know what I'm thinking? |
---|
84 | Phoebe | Oh, ok. How, it's been so long since you've had sex, you're wondering if they've changed it? |
---|
85 | Monica | No, although now that's what I'm thinking. |
---|
Observation: In Episode E201/L83-85: , line(s) 201, Monica worries it's been a long time since she's had sex. Actually, she had some 3 episodes ago (Episode E122/L177: , line(s) 122), but I suppose that could be a long time for Monica. Plus, of course, we don't know how long an episode takes, and there was a season break between these episodes. |
Episode 122, Lines 177-177 |
177 | Monica | What we did was wrong. Oh god, I just had sex with somebody that wasn't alive during the Bicentennial. |
---|
|
99 | Joey | Why don't you go see Frankie? My family's been goin' to him forever. He did my first suit when I was 15. No wait, 16. No, 'scuse me, 15. (still confused) All right, when was 1990? |
---|
Nitpick: Joey's line in Episode E201/L99: , line(s) 201 seems to suggest he 15 or 16 in 1990, but this is way off. Even if he was 16 in early 1990 and turned 17 in 1990, he wouldn't turn 30 until 2003. However, he's already 30 prior to Episode E714/L22-23: , line(s) 714 (in a flashback), and the 7th season aired in 2000-2001. |
Episode 714, Lines 22-23 |
22 | [SCENE] | Flashback to Joeys thirtieth birthday party. It is being held in Monica and Chandlers apartment. |
23 | Joey | (screaming) Why God?!! Why?!! We had a deal!! Let the others grow old! Not me!! (He buries his head in Phoebes lap for comfort.) |
