183RossJoey, I’m not worried about her! I’m worried about my baby! Whoever she dates my baby dates! Now-now where is this (makes the quote-marks sign) actor taking them?
184JoeyHey! I’m an (does the quote-marks thing as well) actor too! I’m not sure. I think they’re taking the ferry out to some Italian place on Staten Island.
Nitpick: Joey uses "quote fingers" in the lines above, but says he doesn't understand them in Episode 902: The One Where Emma Cries, line(s) 109. (maybe he was just mimicking Ross?) Chloe Rogers notes that Joey also uses quote fingers correctly in Episode 615: The One That Could Have Been, line(s) 446-447, below: Joey uses quote fingers from Episode 615: The One That Could Have Been, but, of course, that's the "what if" episode that never "really" happened.
Episode 902, Lines 109-109
109JoeyLook, can I just stop you right there for a second? When people do this (Makes quote marks with his fingers.) I don’t really know what that means. (Ross just looks at him) You were saying?
Episode 615, Lines 446-447
446RachelBecause I’m married. That’s right, I am a married woman! And I came to a TV star’s apartment to have an affair! Uck!
447JoeyThat’s ridiculous! I’m not a "Star," just a regular famous actor.

215JoeySo what movie do you want to see—And not another one I have to read. Okay? I get enough of that from books.
216RossBooks?
217JoeyAll right, car magazines, cereal boxes, but it’s like enough!
Observation: Joey reads real books in Episode 313: The One Where Monica And Richard Are Friends, line(s) 81-88, but doesn't in the lines above, and reads only comic books in Episode 806: The One With The Halloween Party, line(s) 127-128. (Joey's either joking or maybe he gave up reading books after Little Women?)
Episode 313, Lines 81-88
81RachelHmm. (she opens the freezer) Umm, why do you have a copy of The Shining in your freezer?
82JoeyOh, I was reading it last night, and I got scared, so.
83RachelBut ah, you’re safe from it if it’s in the freezer?
84JoeyWell, safer. Y'know, I mean I never start reading The Shining, without making sure we’ve got plenty of room in the freezer, y'know.
85RachelHow often do you read it?
86JoeyHaven’t you ever read the same book over and over again?
87RachelWell, umm, I guess I read Little Women more than once. But I mean that’s a classic, what’s so great about The Shining?
88JoeyThe question should be Rach, what is not so great about The Shining. Okay? And the answer would be: nothing. All right? This is like the scariest book ever. I bet it’s way better than that classic of yours.
Episode 806, Lines 127-128
127MonicaYou read comic books right?
128JoeyExclusively.
